Letter Writing - Contacts for BC Schools

Students, click on the image to find contact information for any school district in BC.

Step 1 - Choose a district and go to that district's website.

Step 2 - Click on the "Schools" tab on the website, and choose "Elementary Schools."

Step 3 - Choose a school and find that school's mailing address on the school's website.

Step 4 - Address your letter and envelope to a Grade 4 or 5 class in that school.

Here is the curriculum update for April:

1. Math - Division
2. Language Arts - Short Story Creative Writing
3. Reading - Literature Circles (small group novel study)
4. Social Studies - Canadian Identity, Past Government Discrimination, and Immigration
5. Fine Arts - Small group dramas
6. Other: Library Inquiry Presentation Project using Google Slides
7. Continuing: Spelling, PE/DPA, Health, French, Math Games, etc.

February Update

Oh my goodness! How about this snow, eh?  Mid-February already... here is the update:

1. Math: Multiplication
2. LA: Research Book Report Writing
3. SS: First Nations Unit is being completed; test this month
4. SC: Simple Machine Unit begins
5. Drama: Puppet Shows
6. Music: Victoria Sings preparations
7. Continuing as usual: Spelling, French, P.E., Health

Report Cards are issued the day before before Spring Break.  Student Led Conferences are Feb. 20th and 21st.

In your group, find a play that:

1. Has enough parts for everyone in the group to fully participate.
2. Is a play that you would like to perform as a puppet show.

When you have a play that fits these criteria, visit with the teacher to confirm your choice.
